Rinku Lamba is presently writing a dissertation which focuses on the establishment of liberal-democratic institutional arrangements for the political accommodation of religion in multiply diverse polities. Her research interests include contemporary political theory, multiculturalism, subaltern studies, south Asian politics and modern Indian social and political thought.

Lamba read for the M. Phil. in Politics at Balliol College, University of Oxford; she received her M. A. and M. Phil. in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; she holds a B. A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi
