Jonathan Peterson

Peterson’s research interests are in moral and political philosophy, philosophy of law and the history of philosophy. He has taught courses in moral theory and applied ethics.

Peterson is currently completing a dissertation on the philosophical foundations of arts policy in a liberal democratic state. He is the author of “Enlightenment and Freedom”, a forthcoming article in the Journal of the History of Philosophy. He has presented work on republicanism, Kantian political theory and the foundations of intellectual property law at a number of conferences including the Congress of the Canadian Philosophical Association and the 10th International Kant Congress.

Peterson holds an M.A. in Philosophy from Boston College and a B.A. from Calvin College.
