PhD Student, Department of Political Science, University of Toronto.

At present he is working on exploring the relationship of citizenship, human rights, and territoriality, in the context of contemporary democratic theory. His broader research interests include the history of political thought, political philosophy and legal theory.

Kiran received his Masters degree in the Social Sciences and his BA degree in Philosophy from the University of Chicago in 2006. Before coming to the University of Toronto Kiran pursued graduate study at the University of Virginia.
