James McKee

James McKee is a doctoral candidate at the University of Toronto. His dissertation project focuses on the role of complex emotions in the development of collective standards of ethical conduct with a specific focus on the humanitarian community.

His broad interests include the history of political thought, theories of judgment, cosmopolitan ethics, theories of mind and consciousness and more recently the social construction of emotions.

James holds a BA (Hons) in Political Studies from Queen’s University and an MA in Political Theory from the University of Toronto.
