Ethics, Society and Law

The Centre for Ethics works closely with the interdisciplinary undergraduate program in Ethics, Society and Law, based at Trinity College. Through a series of courses offered both by Trinity and by affiliated departments such as Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, and Criminology, students build the theoretical and empirical knowledge they need to analyze the moral challenges of complex modern societies.

Key collaborations between the Centre and the ES&L program include the Community Research Partnerships in Ethics and events co-sponsored with the Ethics, Society, and Law Students’ Association (see, e.g., The Ethics of Fake News). The Centre also hosts informal socials for students in the program and welcomes their participation in its events.
